The Science of laziness

Idleness is a symptom of high intelligence

Laziness can be the culprit of many faults.  But new research suggests that talented people spend much more idle time than their working friends.

The US-based study says those with high IQ are not easily bothered.  As a result, they were able to spend more time thinking.

On the other hand, to keep people's minds active, they have to engage in more external activities.  This is because they do not want to worry about something deep or simply feel uneasy about something.

Researchers at Florida Gulf Coast University use a classical test method that is nearly three decades old.  They asked a group of students to take a strong stand for one of the two statements.  One of the two statements is, "I really like the kind of work that brings new solutions to the problem."  Selects John as a thinker and 3 as an activist.

After that, a device was set up in the hands of the participants for seven days, through which their movements and activities were monitored.  Through this, they are constantly informed about their physical activity.

It turns out that the thought team participated in a much smaller amount of physical activity than the working group.
